BRUNSWICK — Charles S. “Chuck” Baker, 67, and resident of Summer Street in Lisbon Falls, died suddenly and unexpectedly on Saturday, March 10, at Parkview Medical Center with family at his side.
He was born in Bay Shore, Long Island, N.Y., Feb. 8, 1945, a son of Robert E. and Lillian F. (Friou) Baker. At a young age, his family moved to Pennsylvania and Chuck grew up and went through school in Bethlehem, Pa. Following high school, he graduated from Springfield College in Massachusetts, with a degree in physical fitness. On Nov. 30, 1984, he married the former Melinda Woodbury of Durham, and had been a resident of Maine since 1984, and a resident of Lisbon Falls since 1994.

He also worked a year with Tedford Shelter in Brunswick and for 10 years delivered the Lewiston Sun Journal each day throughout his neighborhood in Lisbon Falls.
He was a charter member and active at Cornerstone Baptist Church in Topsham.
Chuck was a very active and competitive person. He enjoyed sailing, running, rowing and playing games. He liked encouraging all kids to be active and enjoyed creating games and activities that would challenge both a child’s physical and intellectual being. He sang played the guitar and accordion.
He had a generous heart and was a gracious, loving, devoted and hard-working husband, father, grandfather and brother, who was dearly loved and will be sadly missed by family and friends. He was an incredible father and an amazing man who will never be forgotten.
