FARMINGTON — Police made a second arrest in connection to an attempted burglary on Lamkin Lane on Feb. 14. They also located a firearm related to the case.

Information developed through a confidential informant led to the arrest Friday of Matthew Lancaster, 20, of Jay, Farmington police officer Darin Gilbert said in a news release on Sunday. He was charged in a warrant with attempted burglary.

Jay police officer Michael Mejia made the arrest.

Gilbert and Jay Detective Richard Caton IV also recovered the firearm used in the Lamkin Lane case, in Jay, Gilbert said.

Miguel Cedeno, 21, of Livermore Falls, a co-defendant in the case was arrested in late February in Jay. He also faces a charge of attempted burglary.

The men are accused of breaking a window on a mobile home with the butt of a shotgun in an attempt to get inside.

Farmington police arrived within three minutes but found no one. They did discover blood at the scene and went to Franklin Memorial Hospital in Farmington.

Police found Cedeno being treated for a laceration to his hand. He denied being at the Lamkin Lane residence, police previously said. He voluntarily gave police DNA.

Cedeno was also arrested in jail earlier this month on a charge of arson and criminal conspiracy in connection to a fire at JP Corner Store on July 26, 2011.

Erica Poland-Rolfe of Livermore Falls, who formerly owned the store, faces the same charges.
