RUMFORD — Black Mountain of Maine will celebrate spring and snow during its Family Fun Weekend on Saturday and Sunday, March 17 and 18.
Games, races and activities for the whole family are scheduled for both days.
Saturday’s events begin at 8:30 a.m. with the Egg McMogul from the top of the Woods Trail. That will be followed at 10 a.m. with a Balloon Race on the Novice trail and a Family Giant Slalom race at 11 a.m.
Then at 4 p.m. there will be a body slide. Wings will be available until they are sold out.
An awards ceremony will be held at 5 p.m., followed at 7 p.m. by music from Ralph Arsenault.
Sunday’s events begin at 11 a.m. with an Obstacle Course Terrain Park and a cash-only lunch break on the deck from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Pond Skimming will start at 3 p.m. At 4:15 p.m. at the completion of pond skimming, an Awards Apres Ski Party will be held.
All events are subject to change without further notice due to conditions and weather. Waivers must be signed by a parent or guardian for all participants to enter events.
