The River Valley Chamber of Commerce is seeking out businesses and individuals that we feel are worthy of receiving the following awards presented at the Annual Dinner on April 26, 2012 at 49 Franklin. Please call Peter at 364-3241 or e-mail him at [email protected] for the proper documentation and return to the Chamber office no later than March 15, 2012. Take a look around at your business peers and individuals in the River Valley Area whom you feel should receive these prestigious awards and nominate them today. The River Valley Chamber Board of Directors will review all nominees and make the selections.
Here is the criterion for the awards:
Business Person/Business of the Year- This award recognizes a business person or business which has made significant investments in supporting the region’s economic growth, expanded employment opportunities through the establishment of a new business or business expansion or has set a new leadership standard for business innovation and quality. (The business has to be a Chamber member)
Volunteer of the Year- This award recognizes individual or group efforts which have made a significant contributions in the quality of life or the enhancement of community or regional assets. It also recognizes accomplishments achieved through non-profit organizations, public sector committees, or businesses.
Customer Service Award- This award recognizes a business whose employees have gone beyond the call of duty to provide outstanding customer service in the River Valley area. (The business has to be a Chamber member)
Non-Profit/Community Service Leadership Award- This award recognizes a group effort which has made a significant contribution in the enhancement of community or regional involvement in the River Valley area.
Please also think about becoming a Board of Director for the Chamber. If you are ambitious and concerned about the business climate in the River Valley Area and want to make a difference then you are perfect for the board. The Board of Directors for the Chamber meets once a month; the first Thursday of the month to discuss matters at hand pertaining to the Chamber. Interested? If so, contact the RVCC office and apply to be nominated as a director and return the proper documentation to the Chamber no later than April 5th. Your name will be put onto a ballot and the general membership will vote at the Annual Dinner. There are currently six (6) directorships that are up for grabs this year.
