CANTON— The Webb River Sportsman’s Club, will have a supper on Monday, March 19, at the clubhouse in Canton Point. Doors will open at 5 p.m. and supper will be served at 6, followed by the meeting.

DIXFIELD — The Stephens High School Class of 1946 will meet at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 21, at the Front Porch.
Class luncheon
MEXICO — Members of the Stephens High School Class of 1949 will meet for luncheon at 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 21, at the Far East.
Church history
RUMFORD — The Rumford Historical Society will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 21, at the Rumford Municipal Building Auditorium. Following a brief business meeting, the program will be provided, after which light refreshments will be served.
The speaker will be Jean Lapointe, parishioner and member of the Vestry of the St. Barnabas Episcopal Church, Rumford Avenue. She will give a PowerPoint slide presentation of the church’s beginnings in 1903 and will discuss the unusual stone construction, which was completed in 1905.
The topic is in keeping with the historical society’s theme for this year of “Historical Art and Architecture of the Region.” The church is holding services every Sunday, with a part-time rector.
The public is invited to attend the meeting, and new members are welcome. Enter and exit the Municipal Building at the rear door on River Street.
Class meeting
RUMFORD — Stephens High School Class of 1958 will hold luncheon at noon Wednesday, March 21, at Gatch’s.

Selling cookies
DIXFIELD — Girl Scout troops will be set up all over the community on the weekend to sell cookies.
From 3 to 7 p.m. Friday, March 16, there will be sales at Towle’s Corner Store. From 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, March 17, Scouts will be in front of the Peru Fire Station and at Black Mountain of Maine. They will be at the Green Church in Mexico from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
On Sunday there will be booth sales located at Wal-Mart from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.; Black Mountain from 1 to 4 p.m.; Green Church from noon to 4 p.m.; and at the Andover Fire Station from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
