BRUNSWICK — Lois Marie Pickard, 83, passed away peacefully at Skolfield House, March 14.

She was born in Bingham, the daughter of Leland and Ruth (Havey) McLaughlin. She married David Fairfield Pickard of Madrid, where they made their home and raised their family. Together they would eventually live their final years with their youngest son, Dewight.

She is survived by her children, David J. Pickard and wife, Priscille, of Cumming, Ga., Diana Bunnell and husband, Karl, of Madrid, Douglas Pickard and wife, Phillis, of Durham and Dewight Pickard of Topsham; her brother, Robert McLaughlin of Greensboro, N.C.; her grandchildren, Heidi Elliot of Strong, Sheryl Sixsmith of Livermore, Calif., and Michelle Silva of Gorham; and her great-granddaughter, Lauren Elliot of Strong.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, David Fairfield “Joe” Pickard; a grandson, Randall Ralph Bunnell; a granddaughter, Lynne Marie Pickard; and sister, Lela Cool.

The family would like to thank Stephanie, Angie and the entire staff at Skolfield House for providing quality care, compassion and support to her until the very end.
