LEWISTON — Elmet Technologies has announced the achievement of AS9100 certification for the Elmet’s manufacturing facility in Lewiston.

As the internationally recognized quality management system standard specific to the aerospace industry, AS9100 is strongly supported and adhered to by aerospace original equipment manufacturers and suppliers.

Elmet’s achievement of AS9100 certification reflects the company’s commitment to meeting the increasingly stringent industry requirements for aerospace products. This certification also ensures that the company’s process-oriented approach will meet the rigorous quality requirements of all the industries Elmet serves.

AS9100 is based on the ISO 9001:2008 quality management standard, and provides additional requirements and amplifications required by the aerospace industry.
