RUMFORD — The annual meeting and election of officers for the Rumford Polar Bears Snowmobile Club will take place on Thursday, March 22. The meeting will convene at 7 p.m. at Sam’s Restaurant, Route 2.

All club members are encouraged to attend and nominations for officers will be accepted from the floor.

Club members are also reminded that the Rumford Polar Bears offer a $250 scholarship to a graduating senior planning to attend college or vocational school.

To qualify,, an applicant’s family must be members of the snowmobile club, either  regular or associate members. Students may apply by submitting the following information: name, address, telephone number, and name of college or vocational school the student plans to attend.

The winner will be chosen in May by a random drawing and the scholarship will be awarded upon successful completion of the first semester of college or vocational school.
