Benefit supper

FAYETTE — The Fayette Fire Auxiliary will sponsor a benefit supper from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Saturday, March 24, at the Fayette Central School. The supper is for the Danforth/Ladd family who lost all their possessions in a fire on the Chesterville Ridge Road on March 9. Those who may help with cooking for the supper are asked to call Elaine Wilcox at 685-3886.

Norlands breakfast

LIVERMORE — A pancake breakfast and old-time maple sugaring will take place from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, March 25, at the Washburn-Norlands Living History Center, 290 Norlands Road.

Cost will be $5/$7 for pancakes; otherwise free.

In celebration of Maine Maple Sunday, the center will serve pancakes, cooked on the woodstove, in the Farmer’s Cottage, a replica of the original 1867 historic building.

Visitors will be able to help tap trees and collect sap. Sap boiling demonstrations will take place in the sugar house. The one-room schoolhouse will offer lessons from the 1800s.
