AUBURN — Harriman, a full-service architecture and engineering firm, announces that John W. Tarr, P.E., a senior electrical engineer in the firm’s Auburn office, has been promoted to associate principal.
Tarr recently rejoined the firm and has more than 25 years of experience. He received a bachelor of science in electrical engineering from University of Maine at Orono, and is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers and the Illuminating Engineering Society.
As a registered professional engineer in Maine and New Hampshire, he has a wide range of experience in the design of interior and exterior lighting, power distribution, emergency power, fire protection, security and communications systems. He has worked with a diverse group of clients throughout his career, including education, health care, corporate, municipal, government and retail sectors. He previously worked for Harriman from 1987-2008.
He lives in New Gloucester with his wife and three sons.
