NORWAY — Walter M. Leckey, 91, died Wednesday, March 21, at Stephens Memorial Hospital.
He was born in 1921, in Mexico, the second son of Wesley and Lucy Adams Leckey. He was a lifetime resident of the area, attending local schools and graduating from Mexico High School, Class of 1938.
A U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II, he was assigned to the ship Aeoulis ARL 42. He married the former Pauline Razzano in 1941, and was a former member of AF, AM, BPOE, Oakdale Country Club, Chisholm Ski Club, Boise 25-year Club, and was a life member of the American Legion. He retired in 1982, as supervisor for Boise Cascade Corp. control systems at Rumford.
Survivors include a son, James of Auburn; daughters, Janice Parsons of Phoenix, Ariz., and Margaret Rearick of Hebron; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
