LEWISTON — The Thomas E. Lahey Foundation announces its scholarship recipients for 2010-11.

Abigail Blaisdell, a graduate of Lewiston High School, is currently attending Assumption College. She is the daughter of Robert and Therese Blaisdell of Lewiston.

Eric Hall, a graduate of Lewiston High School, is currently attending Clemson University. He is the son of Fred Hall IV of Auburn and Donna Hall of Lewiston.

Alexandria Butler, a graduate of Lewiston High School, is attending University of Maine at Farmington. She is the daughter of John and Ann Butler of Lewiston.

Alex Parker, a graduate of St. Dominic Academy, is attending Bates College. He is the son of Robert and Kimberly Parker of Lewiston.

Allaina Murphy, a graduate of St. Dominic Academy, is attending Bates College. She is the daughter of Daniel and Torey Murphy of Poland Spring.

Dawna Daigle, a graduate of Edward Little High School, is attending University of Maine at Orono. She is the daughter of Mike and Lisa Lally of Auburn.

Timothy Mains, a graduate of Edward Little High School, is attending University of New England. He is the son of Craig and Dina Mains of Auburn.

The Thomas E. Lahey Foundation was established to honor Tom Lahey, an outstanding Lewiston athlete and successful businessman who died Oct. 3, 1987, at the age of 43.

The purpose of the foundation is to assist local youth in the pursuit of excellence in academic, athletic and cultural activities. Since its inception the foundation has awarded more than $165,000 in scholarships.

Fundraisers scheduled for 2012 include a bowling tournament held on Jan. 28 and a golf tournament on July 13.
