AUBURN — Valeria M. Dube, 92, of Schooner Estates, died peacefully on Friday, March 16, at Marshwood Nursing Home with her family at her side.

She was born in Lewiston, June 5, 1919, the daughter of the late John and Agnes (Naudzius) Samaklis.

Valeria married Roger E. Dube on Sept. 28, 1946. He predeceased her on Feb. 10, 1993. Valeria worked for many years at Knapp Shoe and enjoyed her work and her many friends.

She was a former member of St. Patrick’s Church in Lewiston. Valeria enjoyed sewing, dancing and singing, and will always be remembered for bringing a smile to everyone with her joke telling. Her delicious cooking will be missed by all.

She leaves two daughters, Lanna Brown of Chattam, Mass., and Ronda Dube of Sabattus; six grandchildren, Tiffiny, Jessica, Allison, and Melissa, Nathan, and Jonathan; as well as eight great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her brother, John T. Samaklis.
