SOUTH PARIS — Jean M. Littlefield, 81, of Stoneham, passed away at the Maine Veterans’ Home on Sunday, March 25.
She was born in Stoneham, Nov. 4, 1930, the daughter of Bernal and Nellie McAlister. She was educated in Stoneham and Norway High School. Jean lived many years in Auburn and was employed by W.T. Grant, Stearns Meats, and numerous shoe factories in Lewiston-Auburn, and lastly at Melby’s Store in Waterford.
She married Earl T. Littlefield on April 28, 1948. They were married for more than 50 years, and he predeceased her in November 2000. She was later predeceased by her companion, Enfield Wilson, in 2011.
She is survived by daughters, Monika Spooner and husband, Ed and Regina Sullivan and husband, Van; a sister, Virginia Luneau and husband, Ernie; brother-in-law, Charles Flanders; sister-in-law, Betty Barker and her husband, Edmund; brother-in-law, Neal Littlefield and wife, Martha; grandchildren, Sherry Madore and husband, Scott, Joshua Spooner and wife, Loralie and Kimberly DeSanctis and husband, Derek; great-granddaughter, Emilia DeSanctis; great-grandsons, Zachary Madore, Ayden DeSanctis, Luke and Stanley Spooner; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by sister-in-law, Pauline Lawrence; and a sister, Mary Flanders.
