AUBURN — Skelton, Taintor and Abbott attorney Norman J. Rattey will present at the National Business Institute’s one-day seminar, Boot Camp: Foreclosure and Loan Workout Procedures, to be held on April 4 at the Fireside Inn and Suites in Portland. The seminar will benefit attorneys, real estate brokers, title insurance professionals, lenders and paralegals.
Rattey will co-teach the opening presentation: The Civil Action Foreclosure Process in Maine; and will lead two afternoon classes: Lender Liability Issues, and Post-Foreclosure/Miscellaneous Issues. Among the topics he will discuss is how to conduct a commercial power of sale or non?judicial foreclosure.
With three decades of legal experience, Rattey’s practice areas include real estate, zoning and land use, municipal law, financial institutions and business law. In addition to addressing continuing legal education groups, he has made presentations to the Maine State Bar Association, the Androscoggin County Bar Association, the Maine Association of Community Banks and the Maine County Commissioners Association.
