AUBURN — Rita F. (Veilleux) Caron, 90, a resident of the Odd Fellows Home, passed away Wednesday, March 28, at her residence, following a long illness, with her family by her side.
She was born in St. Benoit Labre, P.Q., Jan. 29, 1922, the daughter of Hormidas and a (Vallee) Veilleux. She moved here from Canada in 1942, and was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Lewiston from 1944 until its closing. She was a member of ACA, Lewiston Senior Citizens, AARP, Horizon 55, hospice volunteer, member of PACE Exercise, Dames de St. Anne and was a volunteer sponsor for AA.
Survivors include two daughters, Monique LaPierre and husband, David, of Biddeford and Lolita Lambert and husband, Steven, of Lewiston; two sons, Marcel Veilleux and wife, Cathy, of Auburn and Robert Veilleux of Lewiston; one sister, Simonne Veilleux and husband, Clement, of St. Come, P.Q.; 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides her two husbands, she was predeceased by one daughter; one grandson; three sisters; three brothers; and one daughter-in-law.
The family would like to thank the staff at Odd Fellows Home for the wonderful care given their Mother during her stay with them.
