Thanks to the initiative of Hanna Deon of Industry and Amanda Moody of Wilton, cats at the Franklin County Animal Shelter, Farmington, are climbing to new heights. Started as a grade eight philanthropy project in 2008, the two raised money and sought donations in order to ship school and athletic supplies to the Pacific Island of Yap. After the project concluded, the girls opted to use the remainder of the funds to help the shelter.
