Riley Laverdiere, seventh-grader from Tripp Middle School in Turner, was invited as a guest speaker in Courtney Wildes’ fourth-grade class at Longley Elementary School in Lewiston. Lavediere, of Greene, shared his experiences in making maple syrup this season. He did not miss school, as he had a half-day session Friday.
