LEWISTON — Diana M. Hughes-Martin, 58, of Auburn died Friday, March 30, at Central Maine Medical Center.

She was born in Lewiston on July 8, 1953, daughter of the late Omer G. and Carolyn E. Bubier Dumont. Diana was educated in Auburn schools, graduating from Edward Little High School in 1971. She worked most of life as a secretary and prior to her illness was employed at Tambrands in Auburn.

She was a very active member of Court Street Baptist Church and served her church in many capacities including treasurer of the Ladies Circle, Sunshine Ladies, the Secret Ministry, back-door greeter, Bible study teacher, public relations committee and attended the craft classes at the church. Her involvement with the Girl Scouts spanned some 15 years. She was recognized as Outstanding Leader of the Year and also received the outstanding longevity award. Diana also enjoyed volunteering at the Good Shepherd Food-Bank.

She is survived by three daughters, Melissa St. Pierre and husband, Louie, of New Gloucester, Jennifer Hughes and companion, Kelley Rorick, of New York, and Catherine Hughes and fiance, James Richards, of Auburn; five  grandchildren, Christopher, Kelsea, Kiara, Makayla and Willow, and soon to be born, Jedidiah; a sister, Catherine Ann Blais and husband, Bert, of Auburn.
