FARMINGTON — On Friday, March 30, June Fay Carlow passed away at Franklin Memorial Hospital in Farmington with her loving family by her side. 

She was born on Dec. 20, 1916, the daughter of Lottie Brown and William Parlin. She was educated in the schools of New Vineyard.

She was a cook, caregiver and housekeeper for many places, working at   Perham Chamber, Brick Inn, Green Farms, and Brackley’s Boarding House, just to name a few. She worked at Brackley’s Wood Turning Mill for 25 years. After the fire at Brackley’s, she then worked at Farmington Shoe until her partial retirement in 1980 when she then cared for several elderly people in Strong.

June was involved in many activities. She was a 50-year member of Oppalunski 125 Eastern Star. She was a member of Strong and Phillips Senior Citizens Programs. June volunteered at  most of the local nursing homes. While living at Shadagee Apartments in Phillips for the last 22 years, June was also involved in a lot of community service. She had a lot of great friends at Shadagee with whom she enjoyed visiting.

June was very fond of her family, her granddaughter, Darlene, her greatgrandsons, Brandon and Travis, and her nieces and nephews. She traveled to Oklahoma, Texas, Florida, Minnesota. She enjoyed gardening, puzzles, reading and crocheting. 

She is survived by her loving daughter, Pamela and husband, Terry Kenniston; loving granddaughter, Darlene and husband Larry Strout; two  greatgrandsons, Brandon and Travis; her sister, Florece Ellison of Minnesota; and eight nephews and nieces, Elaine and husband Alan Brisard, Melody Lavoie, Mike Parlin and wife Denise, Stan Parlin and wife Julie,  Tammy Parlin, Edward and wife Sylvia Ellison, John and wife Rebecca Ellision, and Richard and wife Kathy Ellision. June also had several grandnieces and grandnephews, with whom she enjoyed visiting.


She was predeceased by her brother, Stanton; and her mother, Lottie; and father, William.
