Yoga workshop
LEWISTON — The Patrick Dempsey Center for Cancer Hope and Healing at Central Maine Medical Center is offering a free class for anyone interested in learning more about recharging the spirit through music and movement. “Yoga Dance” will take place from 11 a.m. to noon Thursdays, April 5 and 12, at CMMC, 12 High St., conference room A.
CMMC physician Michael Eng will lead an hour-long session where participants will energize joints and muscles and forge connections between the mind, body and the world.

APL open house
AUBURN — The Auburn Public Library will hold an open house from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday, April 5, that will feature a live jazz performance.
The second floor of the Auburn Public Library has a new look and everyone is invited to take a peak, have refreshments and listen to the Three Point Jazz Duo.
The Three Point group is based in the Central Maine area. Since coming together in 2007, the trio has performed at a broad range of engagements.
In addition to the live entertainment, the library invited all to contribute to a new local history database made of historical photos by bringing old photographs of Auburn. The library will scan them into a database that will be accessible to all local history buffs. The library’s local history room will also be open during this time.
Library meeting
TOPSHAM — The Friends of the Topsham Public Library, 25 Foreside Road, will hold the annual meeting at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, April 5. Storyteller Carol Birch will offer an adult storytelling event.
Friends President Melissa Hoy said, “All adults are welcome to attend this meeting. Friends members are eligible to vote at the short business meeting that will follow Carol’s performance.”
The Friends of the Topsham Public Library support virtually all library programs for children, teens and adults through a combination of fundraising efforts.

Easter egg hunt
LEWISTON — Holy Cross Council 12,652, Knights of Columbus, will hold anl Easter Egg Hunt from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 7, in the Holy Cross Church Hall, 1080 Lisbon St.
There will be games, healthy snacks and an appearance by the Easter Bunny. The event is free.
Easter dinner
LEWISTON — There will be a free Easter dinner at Hope Haven Gospel Mission, 209 Lincoln St., from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, April 8. All are welcome who are in need. Those who are shut in may call 783-6086 and a meal will be delivered.
Historical society
NEW GLOUCESTER — The New Gloucester Historical Society will sponsor two events in April. The History Barn open house from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, April 7, will feature a new display on the Masons and other town fraternal organizations.
Dick McCann will speak about the history of the Masons in New Gloucester at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 19, at the New Gloucester Meetinghouse. The Masons have been a presence in town since 1803. The public is invited and refreshments will be served. A members’ business meeting will follow.
