FARMINGTON — The Nordica Trio will perform in the Mt. Blue Regional School District schools on Monday and Tuesday, April 2 and 3, in a series of concerts sponsored by the Kingfield POPS and funded by the David A. and Mildred H. Morse Charitable Trust.
The Nordica Trio brings together Graybert Beacham (violin and viola), Karen Beacham (clarinet) and Martin Perry (piano). They have performed numerous concerts for students across the state and sponsored a student composer’s competition in 2004.
The concert schedule is as follows: Monday, April 2, 7:55 a.m. for the Mt. Blue music students, 129 Seamon Road, Farmington; 9 a.m., Academy Hill School, 585 Depot St., Wilton; 10:30, Cushing School, 21 Cushing Drive, Wilton; 1 to 1:45 p.m., Cape Cod Hill School, 516 Cape Cod Hill Road, New Sharon.
On Tuesday, April 3, at 9 a.m. they will perform for the Mt. Blue Middle School, 269 Middle St., Farmington; 10:30, Cascade Brook School, 162 Learning Lane, Farmington; and 1:30 p.m., Mallett School at Nordica Auditorium, corner of Academy and Main Streets, Farmington.
The community is invited to attend all of the concerts. Admission is free.
Trio members are all active as educators in the state.
