I write about the mural taken from the Department of Labor building by order of Gov. Paul LePage. Most Mainers were unaware of that mural prior to “mural-gate.”

Now that it is out of the Labor building, why not put it on tour? Bates, Bowdoin and Colby colleges could take turns hosting it, as well as the University of Maine campuses, stretching from Fort Kent to Portland.

Then, a final home on display at the Maine State Museum. That way, it gets exposure to a greater viewing public, and is honored for its historic portrayals.

I don’t know who would pay for the mural’s transportation and handling, but touring it would be preferable to paying for court time while storing it in a closet.
