DEAR SUN SPOTS: Join Governor’s Restaurant, 1185 Lisbon St. in Lewiston, as we kick off our fourth annual campaign in support of the Greater Androscoggin County Humane Society and celebrate Prevention of Cruelty to Animals month.

In the past three years, we have helped raise more than $4,000 and and collected more than 750 pounds of supplies for the shelter. We ask again that you help us help them.

On April 16, Patriots’ Day, celebrate our country’s freedom by joining us at Governor’s of Lewiston, where 10 percent of your purchase price and 10 percent of your servers’ tips will go directly to GAHS to help local animals in need.

Throughout the month of April drop off supplies for the shelter at Governor’s of Lewiston and be entered in a drawing for a $25 Governor’s gift certificate. Supplies can include animal food, pet toys, blankets, towels, cleaning supplies, office supplies and more.

We will also be offering a variety of GAHS T-shirts, hats and sweatshirts for sale with the entire purchase price going to the shelter for operating expenses.

Please help us have another successful campaign and help us help the animals. For more information, call 753-0173 or visit http://tinyurl.com/3boug62. Thank you. — Matthew Agren, docagren@aol.com

DEAR SUN SPOTS: I am hoping to locate a teddy bear artist who has moved to Maine from Connecticut last year. Her company’s name was Jane’s Bears. I met her at the DECCA craft fair at Oxford Hills High School in 2011 and would love to get in touch with her.

If anyone knows this lovely talented lady, please contact me or have Jane contact me. Thanks so much for your help and happy crafting. Carol Emery, cardaem@fairpoint.net

ANSWER: Sun Spots got all excited when she found a website called janesbears.com, but it turns out that Jane is in New Zealand. Readers, can you help?

DEAR SUN SPOTS: I was wondering what exactly the man who owns the Wales farm wants. Is he selling the farm or giving it to somebody? The place is beautiful! I am a local person and when I saw the story my heart melted. I would love to wake up to the animals and care for them.

If he is looking for somebody who would bring new ideas, I have quite a few. I won’t list them here because then they would become somebody else’s ideas real quick. Any extra information would be very helpful. Thank you very much. — No Name via email

ANSWER: Sun Spots does not know anything beyond what was in the story (March 19) and in this column (March 14). You can read both at sunjournal.com. According to the story, he wants to ensure that the farm remains a farm by selling to someone who is willing to undertake the hard work of farming. He may be prepared to make some accommodations to achieve his goal, but giving it away seems unlikely.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: The A-L Sports Hall of Fame is looking for members of the 1972 Edward Little High School state champion football team to invite them to our April 29 HOF banquet.

Members should contact me at 784-9479, rtuttle@roadrunner.com, or Fern Masse, 784-4376 and msusanfern@aol.com. — Ralph Tuttle, HOF secretary
