WATERVILLE — Marie Liane Arsenault, 92, passed away peacefully on April 4, surrounded by her family. She was a resident of The Woodlands Evergreen Unit at the time of her death. Liane was born in Chisholm, Aug. 10, 1919, the younger of twin daughters, to Joseph and Marie Anne (Dumais) Leclerc. She was educated in Chisholm schools and worked locally until the time of her marriage on Feb. 7, 1945, to Edward M. Arsenault of Rumford, where they made their home, raised their family, and lived happily for 62 years, until his death in August 2009. She was a lifetime communicant of Holy Savior Parish.
Liane’s home was her pride and joy. She was a master seamstress, passionate about sewing, knitting, crocheting and doing fine needlework. She took great pride in dressing herself and her daughter in clothing she made herself.
Liane is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Patricia Arsenault of Satellite Beach, Fla.; her daughter and son-in-law, Michael and Janice Quattrucci of Waterville; five grandchildren, Tammi Sheffield, Kevin Arsenault, Christina Quattrucci, Angela Quattrucci and Anthony Quattrucci; six great-grandchildren, Jordyn and Bryce Sheffield, Stephanie, Alexandra, and Adrianna Arsenault, and Gabriel Quattrucci; her twin sister, Lina Fletcher of Manchester, N.H.; her younger sister, Leonie Gagnon of Rumford; and a very dear sister-in-law, Alvine Arsenault, who she loved like a sister, also of Rumford.
She was predeceased by her parents; brothers, Ovila, Roland and Henry Leclerc; and sisters, Erma Doiron, Blanche Berube, Yvette Roy, Annette Desjardins, Rita Baston, and Rose Menard.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff and administration of Evergreen for their respectful and compassionate care, and also to the skilled professionals of HealthReach Hospice. The loving care and concern you showed our mother and grandmother will always be remembered.
