AUBURN — A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated for Marie R. Chabot on Wednesday at St. Louis Church Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish following prayers at The Fortin/Plummer Merrill Funeral Home. The Rev. Rob Lupo officiated and recited committal prayers at St. Peter’s Cemetery. The first reading of scripture was read by one of Marie’s grandaughters, Elizabeth Turcotte and the second reading by another grandaughter, Alexandra Chabot. The offertory gifts were brought to the altar by four of her grandchildren, Nicole Chabot-Wieferich, Katelyn Chabot, Kelly Pope and Dave Pope. Words of remembrances were shared by a grandchild, Kristen O’Neill and one of Marie’s sons, Jacques Chabot. A poem of tribute to Marie’s life was read by one of her great-grandaughters, Madisyn Turcotte. A reception followed at The Carriag House Restaurant in Lewiston.
