LEWISTON — A Mass of Christian Burial honoring the life of Rita F. (Veilleux) Caron was celebrated by the Rev. Nathan March Monday at the Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul of the Prince of Peace Parish. At the beginning of Mass, Rita’s children, Marcel, Monique, Lolita and Robert draped their mother’s casket with a white burial pall signifying Rita’s baptism into a new spiritual life with God. Father March also recited committal prayers at the interment at St. Peter’s Cemetery. Bearers were Ryan Veilleux, Josh and Ben Lambert, Chris Blair and Matt and Chris Lapierre. At the conclusion of services all in attendance were invited to a reception of fellowship at Marco’s Restaurant in Lewiston. Arrangements were by Pinette and Lynch Funeral Home.
