Members of Saint Dominic Academy’s boys and girls hockey teams recently put up a spirited fight against breast cancer and in the process raised $1,500 during “Pink in the Rink” night. One of the most popular series of contests in the year is when Saint Dom’s plays Lewiston High School. It was this event that became the platform for the students’ statements and fundraising. During the evening nearly 115 players showed their support for the cause by wearing pink jerseys and/or laces and used pink tape on their sticks. Proceeds benefited St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center’s Breast Health Program.
