RUMFORD — James and Linda Burns of Rumford are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Kassie Burns, to Brandon Elliott, son of Kelly Porter of Peru and Jeffery Elliott of Turner.
The future bride graduated from the University of Maine at Farmington with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education. She is employed as a teacher at Rumford Elementary School.
The future bridegroom graduated from Washington County Community College with a certificate in heating technology and has a gas propane license. He is employed at Irving Forest Products.
A July 2012 wedding is planned. The couple resides in Dixfield.
