LEWISTON — Yvonne L. Masse, 94, formerly of Maison Marcotte and Russell Park Manor, Lewiston, died Thursday evening, April 5, at The Hospice House in Auburn with family at her side.

She was born in St. Quentin, P.Q. Canada on March 29, 1918, the oldest daughter of the late Thadde Lagasse and Angele Beaulieu. She was married to Claude Masse who predeceased her in 1975.

She was a member of Holy Family Church, where she served as a eucharistic minister and was a member of the Ladies of Ste. Anne Sodality.

She worked mostly in the shoe factories and was an excellent seamstress.

She is survived by four daughters and a son, Lillian and Roger Begin, and Claudette and Donald Pushard, all of Brewer, Rella and Richard St. Pierre, and Anita and Roger Jutras, all of Lewiston, and Herby and Louise Masse, of Lewiston; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson; six sisters, Cecile Roy, Marie Ange Sumpter, Annette Labrie, Loretta Hanks, Ida Dyer and Lena Malo.

She was predeceased by her husband; one granddaughter, Debra St. Pierre; and two brothers and a sister.

She was a loving and caring mother and grandmother. She will be missed.
