SOUTH PARIS — Elizabeth “Bettie” F. Willis, 88, of South Paris, passed away Friday, April 6, at Market Square Health Care Center.

She was born in Inwood, N.Y., March 29, 1924, daughter of Harold T. and Genevieve (Cavanagh) McGinn.

She was married to Peter Willis, who predeceased her. She worked for many years as a clerk at Metropolitan Life Insurance. She was originally from East Rockaway, N.Y., but has been living in Maine for the past three years.

Bettie was very patriotic and was a proud Republican. She loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and loved her “happy hour.”

She is survived by her daughter, Eileen Heidrich of Lewiston; grandchildren, Leanne Heidrich of South Paris, David Heidrich Jr. of Oxford and Scott Heidrich of Philadelphia; one great-grandchild, Brandon Draghi of Farmingville, N.Y.; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was predeceased by her husband, Peter; son, Gregory Willis; sister, Anatasia “Sis” Rafter; and brother, Billy McGinn.
