‘Green Church’ ham supper

MEXICO — A public supper will be served at the Mexico Congregational Church, UCC (the “Green Church”) at 5 p.m. Saturday, April 14. The menu includes baked ham with pineapple sauce, scalloped potatoes, peas and carrots, cole slaw, homemade rolls and pies, and beverages. Adults, $8; children under 12, $3. Elks to hold officer installation

RUMFORD — Rumford Lodge of Elks 862 will hold their Installation of Officers on Saturday, April 14, at their lodge on 60 River St. All are invited to attend and support the incoming officers for the new year. Social hour is from 5 to 6 p.m. with the installation at 6. A pork roast meal will be served at 6:30.

Nonviolent protests to be taught

AUGUSTA — MOVE ON.Org in collaboration with the 99% Spring and other partners will be presenting a nonviolent direct action training from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, April 14, at the Unitarian Universalist Community Church, 69 Winthrop St.

Participants will learn nonviolent tactics and strategies on how to do direct civic action protests during presentations throughout the day.
