VERO BEACH, Fla. — Wanda Lee Greene, 61, passed away unexpectedly on April 5.
She was born in Lewiston, March 20, 1951, Wanda was the daughter of Helen Hendricks and the late Stanley Hendricks. She attended Auburn schools and was a member of the Edward Little High School, Class of 1969.
On Dec. 11, 1971, she married Samuel L. Greene. They had one daughter, Brooke Ivy, who passed away on Jan. 9, 1990. They traveled and lived in many states before settling in Orlando, Fla. When Sam retired they built their dream home in Lovell and bought a winter home in Vero Beach, Fla.
Wanda had a talent for interior decorating. Her most recent work of art for which she was so proud of was turning a tool shed into the dollhouse she always wanted. Gardening was another talent which she loved and enjoyed.
Besides her husband of 40 years, she is survived by her mother, Helen Hendricks of Auburn; three sisters, Carol Kyllonen of Orlando, Fla., Cheryl Steele of Buckfield and Pam Hodgdon of South Paris; one brother, Tom Hendricks of Auburn; special cousin, Barbara Hamerlind of Middlebury, Vt.; and several nieces and nephews whom she loved as her own. She was their Nana.
She was predeceased by her beautiful daughter, Brooke Ivy Greene; her dad, Stanley L. Hendricks; and a brother, Lanny Hendricks.
