WILTON — Funeral services for David J. “Luigi” Goulette of Jay were held Thursday from the Wiles Remembrance Center with Rhonda Wiles-Rosell as celebrant. The opening prayer was delivered by his nephew Nicholas Clemens and scripture by Emily Norton. The service opened with Jonathan Edwards’ rendition of “This Island Earth.” Family friend Kathy Scribner recited “The Dash” and family members Amanda Goulette, daughter-in-law; Joshua Goulette, his son and Kathy Clemens Goulette, his wife, all offered personal eulogies. At the conclusion of the service, longtime friends, Don LeSuer Jr. and Kevin Haley played guitar and sang “Wish You Were Here.” Pallbearers were Corey Lawson, Duane Pollis, Russ Camire, Butch Bryant, Jerry Flagg, Don LeSuer Jr., Kurt Israelson and Ed Barbioni. Private burial at Lakeview Cemetery, Wilton. Following services, a reception was held at Calzolaio Pasta Co., Wilton.
