Mary Ann Larson’s letter (April 7) concerning her experience in going to Augusta to object to the present administration’s handling of MaineCare and her comments about the reception she received from State Sen. Lois Snowe-Mello intrigued me.
Did Larson truly believe that her senator would listen to her? After all, I doubt if Larson contributed tens of thousands of dollars to Snowe-Mello’s election campaign. Karl Rove and his Republican State Leadership Committee PAC did just that.
Now, in all seriousness, who does Larson think that Sen. Snowe-Mello is beholden to? Her constituents?
Sadly, it appears that Karl Rove is a much more important constituent than Ms. Larson.
Money talks.
