MANCHESTER, CONN. — Doris “Popeye” W. Langelier, 74, a resident of Manchester, Conn., formerly of Livermore Falls, died Friday, April 13, surrounded by her loving family at the Manchester Memorial Hospital in Connecticut. She was born June 29, 1937, in East Livermore, the daughter of Thane Bubier Sr. and Doris Jackman Bubier. She attended Livermore Falls High School. Doris worked for Pratt and Whitney in East Hartford, Conn.; she retired in 1999. She loved summering in Maine at her home in Fayette and also loved to play solitaire.
She is survived by her daughter, Pamela Langelier of Manchester, Conn.; three sisters, Jeannie DeRoche and her husband, Doug, of Fayette, Phyllis Pitts of Maryland, and Brenda Stewart of East Livermore; two brothers, Thane Bubier Jr. and his wife, Donna, of Winthrop, and Bruce Bubier and his wife, Mary, of Florida; her grandchildren, Robert, Ryan, Victoria, Christopher and Mona; and great-grandchildren, Christopher, Norman and Natalie. She was predeceased by her sons, Norman and Michael Langelier; her grandson, Michael Langelier; three sisters, Margaret “Peggy” Merrill, Helen Holcomb and Ann Nichols; and four brothers, Robert, Donald, Erland and Stanley Bubier.
