FARMINGTON — A Jay man faces charges after he was injured in an accident early Sunday on the Knowlton Corner Road.
Andrew Cummings, 18, was traveling south on the road at about 5:35 a.m. toward Chesterville when he lost control of the car he was driving and it went off the road and rolled over, Farmington police secretary Rachel Heseltine said Monday.
Cummings received a laceration to his head among other head injuries, she said.
He was taken by a NorthStar Emergency Services ambulance to Franklin Memorial Hospital in Farmington.
Officer Ted Neil charged Cummings with operating under the influence and illegal transportation of liquor by a minor, Heseltine said.
The 2002 Oldsmobile sedan had to be towed from the scene.
