KINGFIELD – The Kingfield POPS Festival of the Arts in Kingfield is seeking artists and artisans for an outdoor exhibit and sale of original arts from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, June 30. The show features fine artists and artisans, food vendors and free live music throughout the day.
Artists and artisans in all media are invited to apply. Booth space is limited so early application is encouraged. The deadline for applications is May 6; exhibitors will be notified of confirmation and space assignments by June 8. Single 10-by-10-foot booths are $25. This event takes place rain or shine.
“With up to 2,000 people or more expected to attend the Kingfield POPS concert that evening, many of whom come early to explore the area, the daytime show affords exhibitors a great way to connect with customers,” said Arts Festival organizer Pat Johnson. She said that the Festival of the Arts is also featuring a music contest for emerging artists, a “Battle of the Bands,” which is expected to draw good numbers.
The Festival of the Arts is part of the Kingfield POPS annual summer music and arts festival. On the evening of June 30, the POPS will present a concert featuring the Bangor Symphony Orchestra conducted by Lucas Richman, special guest Noel Paul Stookey of Peter, Paul and Mary, Erica Brown and the Bluegrass Connection, Nadia and Jocko, the Maranacook String Band and the Western Mountain Trash Can Band. Tickets for will go on sale in late April. Vendor applications and event information are available at www.kingfieldpops.com or by contacting Pat Johnson at (207) 265-5206 or [email protected].
