LEWISTON — Announcement is made of the engagement of Megan Alice Hamann and Marc Alan Smith, both of Lewiston.

Miss Hamann is the daughter of David Hamann of Buckfield and the late Heidi Hamann. She is a 2007 graduate of Buckfield High School and a 2011 graduate of the University of Maine at Farmington with a degree in special education. She is employed at the Margaret Murphy Center for Children.

Mr. Smith is the son of Richard Smith and Paula Smith of Buckfield. He is a 2004 graduate of Buckfield High School and a 2010 graduate of Husson College with a degree in business. He is employed at AAA Insurance.

The wedding will be held on Aug. 4 at the Turner Village Church, with a reception to follow at the Ramada Inn.
