DEAR SUN SPOTS: Nancy, the groomer who has taken care of my dog for the last few months, recently left the Doggz Inn in Auburn. She was fantastic with my dog.

Can you find out where she went? Or does anyone out there know if she is still grooming dogs and where I can find her? Thanks. — No Name via email

ANSWER: Without a last name, an online search is pretty much impossible. Hopefully a reader will know Nancy and let her know you are searching for her.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: I’m trying to find a friend who lived with me for a few years. Her name was Alice Treadwell. She married Robert Stratton, and they moved to Bangor.

She has one son that I know about, but she could have had more children. I do not know his name or address. Alice grew up in Dixfield.

If someone, a friend or relative or anyone, has information as to her whereabouts, I would appreciate hearing from them. Thank you. — Brenda Durrell Calder, Peru, 739-9181

DEAR SUN SPOTS: Out there, somewhere, I have a granddaughter who was adopted. I kept in touch with the parents until 2004, when they moved away and I lost contact.

I don’t have a computer or email. Someone went on Facebook for me but found nothing.

I would love to know how she is doing and have a picture. — Susan, Livermore Falls

ANSWER: Sun Spots is sorry she cannot print the information you sent her. She often receives letters from people searching for adopted family members. The problem is she has no way of knowing whether the person being searched for is even aware they were adopted. If not, it could be quite a shock to read about it in the newspaper.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: I am looking for the daughter of Elizabeth Tuttle, who graduated from Central Maine General Hospital in 1931. I would enjoy talking to her about her mother. — No Name, 782-8409

DEAR SUN SPOTS: I am a member of the Edward Little High School Class of 1952. Janet Howard Gibson had a letter in Sun Spots recently asking for information on four classmates. Janet has kept records for 60 years, and she is only missing four members out of more than 225!

A lot of classes have long lists of members missing. Hats off to Janet for a terrific job like no class has done. We are lucky to have her in our class, as this has taken many, many hours over the past 60 years. Thanks, Janet. — Betty Barton Bates, Auburn

DEAR SUN SPOTS: I am looking for a used swingset for my grandchildren. If anyone has one that is just sitting in their backyard not being used and they would like to sell, please call me. — Rudy Plummer, Mechanic Falls, 240-8372
