SABATTUS — Diane Marie Boulanger, 49, of Sabattus, lost her battle with lung cancer on April 22, while surrounded by her family and close friends.

Diane, who was born Sept. 4, 1962, enjoyed knitting and spending time with her 4-year-old granddaughter and best friend Haylie. Diane was a long time employee of TD Bank, where she made many friends. She enjoyed spending time with her best friend and other half Charlie Verrill and her newfound family at Thompson Apple Orchard.

Diane found comfort, love and peace with her family and friends. She found understanding and compassion from Lainy Verrill; a friend who shared the battle against cancer. She truly enjoyed spending time with her children Jason and his wife, Jill Boulanger and their daughter, Haylie Boulanger of Sabattus, and her younger son, Matthew and his wife, Christine Boulanger, of New York. Diane was a warm-hearted soul who enjoyed life and all the people who surround her. She will be missed, but never forgotten.

Diane is survived by her mother, Dorothy Robinson of Lewiston; her two nieces, Heidi Robinson of Bangor and Crystal Robinson of Lewiston; and her two sons, Jason and Matthew Boulanger and their families.

She was predeceased by her great-grandmother and mentor, Rachel Germond; her father, William Robinson; and younger sister, Penny Robinson.

She has now rejoined them in spirit.
