AUBURN — Anita C. Doyon, 94, formerly of Blake Street Towers, Lewiston, died Friday, April 20, at the Clover Manor.
She was born in Canada, April 30, 1917, the daughter of Alfred and Rose Guerin Cote. On May 28, 1938, she married Adjutor Doyon, who passed away on May 3, 1990.
She worked at the Continental Mill and at Raytheon, and then for many years as a seamstress for Central Maine Medical Center.
A former parishioner of St. Mary’s Church, she enjoyed beano, watching the Red Sox, making puzzles and spending time with her family, friends, and her parakeet “Pitou.” You knew she liked you when she called you “Chou-Chou.”
Survivors include two daughters, Pauline and husband, Lionel Champagne, of Greene and Priscilla and husband, Leo Daigle, of Dunnellon, Fla.; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
Besides her husband, she was predeceased by a son, Paul; a sister, Liane Morin; a brother, Alphonse Cote; and a special friend, Bert Dostie.
