The Maine Turnpike Authority advises motorists to keep the following projects in mind when planning their daily commutes:
Thursday
At mile 67 in New Gloucester at the New Gloucester Barrier Toll lanes 2 and 3, and lanes 8 and 9 will be closed until further notice for construction.
At mile 70.2 in New Gloucester a northbound lane closure is scheduled from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Chandler Mill Road Bridge for bridge work. A 55 mph work zone speed limit is in effect.
At mile 74 in Auburn a southbound lane closure is scheduled from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the St. Lawrence & Atlantic Railroad Bridge for bridge work. A 50 mph work zone speed limit is in effect.
At mile 76 in Auburn major bridge rehabilitation is being conducted and requires one lane to be closed to traffic at the Washington Street and MCRR Bridges for bridge work. One lane will remain open in each direction through completion of the project in June. A 50 mph work zone speed limit is in effect.
At mile 86.7 in Sabattus a northbound lane closure is scheduled from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Furbush Road Bridge for bridge work. A 50 mph work zone speed limit is in effect.
Between miles 92 and 94 in Litchfield a southbound lane closure is scheduled from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Route 197 Bridge for bridge work. A 50 mph work zone speed limit is in effect.
Between miles 92.8 in Litchfield and 100.3 in West Gardiner north and southbound lane closures are scheduled from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. for pavement rehabilitation. A 50 mph work zone speed limit is in effect.
