AUBURN — A Turner man accused of killing his wife two years ago is expected to plead guilty Friday.
A murder trial was scheduled for next month for Brian Nichols, 46. He had pleaded not criminally responsible by reason of insanity in the fatal shooting of his wife, Jane Tetrault, at their home in May 2010.
At a pretrial hearing earlier this month, a judge ruled that statements Nichols made to a law enforcement officer, who is his nephew, would be admitted at his trial in Androscoggin County Superior Court.
He is being held without bail at the Androscoggin County Jail. No further information was available Tuesday.
