CAMDEN — Kortni Michaud tossed a four-hit shutout and struck out seven to lead Oak Hill to a 6-0 victory over Camden Hills in a KVAC Class B softball game Monday.

Michaud helped herself at the plate with a two-run double in the sixth inning that broke the game open. Brianna Hodgkins added a two-run single in the first.

Alyssa Rouleau had three hits for Oak Hill (3-3). Mallory Farley took the loss for Camden Hills (1-4).

Oxford Hills 11, Lewiston 2

LEWISTON — Oxford Hills used four hits and four walks to score seven runs in the second inning to take control early in an 11-2 victory over Lewiston.

Abby Bernier led the Vikings (3-2) with a single and a double. Annika Kahkonen, Anna Winslow and Ashley West also had two hits.

Tori Denis and Courtney Jacques eash had an RBI single in the seventh for the two runs by Lewiston (0-5).

Crystal West struck out 11 for Oxford Hills, while Lewiston’s Erica Brochu fanned two.

Madison 9, Spruce Mountain 6

JAY — Kayla Booker and Erica Parker each hit home runs to power unbeaten Madison to a 9-6 victory over Spruce Mountain.

Ashley Dorey hit a three-run home run in the fifth inning to give the Phoenix a short-lived 4-3. lead. Madison answered in the sixth with four runs and never trailed again.

Emily McKenney and Alex Jarvis had two hits apiece for Madison (5-0).

Fryeburg 11, Falmouth 0

FRYEBURG — Sarah Harriman belted a two-run home run and Kylie Locke went 3-for-4 to lead Fryeburg Academy to an 11-0 shutout victory over Falmouth in softball action Friday.

The Raiders (4-1) recorded 16 hits. Maddie Pearson had a double and triple, while Carla Tripp had an RBI double. Bri Pelkie had a two-run double to key a three-run fourth inning.

Harriman allowed just one hit, a single to Chelsea Fagan in the third inning for the Yachtsmen. Harriman struck out eight and walked two.

Hall-Dale 16, St. Dom’s 1

AUBURN — Emily Morgan recorded a double and a single as nine hitters scattered 13 hits for Hall-Dale in a 16-1 triumph over St. Dom’s in MVC softball.

The Bulldogs (1-2) scored four runs in the first and finished their scoring frenzy with six in the fourth frame. Morgan Rush earned the mound win with a pair of strikeouts for Hall-Dale.

Bethany Fox produced the only hit for the Saints (0-4) in the losing effort.

Poland 13, Lake Region 10

POLAND — Melora Lavoie went 3-for-4 to lead Poland to a 13-10 victory over Lake Region in WMC softball action Monday.

The Lakers (1-3) scored a pair of runs in the top of the fourth to take the lead when Sam Marucci hit an RBI double to tie the game, and crossed the plate on a single by Heidi Jewett.

The Knights (4-2) responded with four runs in the bottom of the fifth inning. Brittina Maheux initiated the offense with a triple, and Lavoie singled to score her.

Mtn. Valley 17, Carrabec 9

NORTH ANSON — Junior third baseman Brooke Dolloff had two doubles and scored four runs as Mtn. Valley marched off with a 17-9 win over Carrabec in MVC softball action Monday.

The Falcons (3-1) picked up the tempo in the third inning with five runs and came back for another four in the next frame. Lindsay Martin notched her second pitching victory of the season for Mtn. Valley.

The catcher, Adrianna Cassaloon, recorded a pair of singles for the Cobras (0-3) in the losing effort.

Mt. Abram 10, Telstar 5

SALEM — Mt. Abram erased a 5-1 deficit scoring nine unanswered runs to down Telstar 10-5 in MVC softball.

Telstar built their lead plating three runs in the third and two more in the fourth. The Rebels (1-2) were paced by Rachel Wheeler’s two singles. Mt. Abram’s (2-1) Alex Howard knocked in a pair of runs with a key single in the bottom of the fourth as the Roadrunners tied the score.

In the bottom of the fifth, following a Lilli Taylor triple, JC Davenport laid down a suicide squeeze scoring Taylor for Mt. Abram’s sixth run. They would add four more runs in the sixth for the victory. Taylor also added a double in the win. Howard earned the victory while Jessica Dirago took the loss for Telstar.

Leavitt 8, Nokomis 4

NEWPORT — Sarah Pare drove in three runs while collecting four hits to help propel Leavitt to an 8-4 victory over Nokomis.

Already leading 2-0 through two innings, the Hornets (5-1) tallied four runs highlighted by Pare’s two bagger. Tori Zupancic and Adrie Newton each had a pair of hits in the victory. Newton grabbed the victory striking out 11 Nokomis hitters.

Becky Orcutt smashed a solo home run for the Warriors. Meagan Richards took the loss while fanning 11 Hornet batters.

Lacrosse

Lewiston 23, Lincoln 3

LEWISTON — Natalie Rousseau scored three goals as Lewiston sailed to a 23-3 victory over Lincoln Academy in girls’ lacrosse action Monday.

The Blue Devils (4-0) managed to work on their passing game, executing a series of connections like clock work in the second half.

Goalie Bayley Pendleton made seven saves for Lincoln, while Samantha Cote and Kirstin Burgess combined for two saves in net for Lewiston.

EL 14, Camden Hills 12

CAMDEN — Taylor Landry scored four goals and Renee Cote added three goals and as assist to give Edward Little a14-12 triumph over Camden Hills.

Shelbu Russell and Kate Swayer chipped in with two goals apiece. Also scoring were Kara Tancrel, Tori Couture and Maddie Williamson.

Sia Maddox and Nahhan Brownwell led Camden (0-4) with three goals apiece.

Juila Langerin made six saves for the Red Eddies.
