NORWAY — Marita Hunton, 77, of Norway died Friday, April 27, at her home surrounded by family.
She was born in Norway, March 15, 1935, the daughter of Herbert A. and Pheobe Leighton Robbins. She graduated from Norway High School and had been employed at local shoe shops, Morse Orchards and the SSA Office of Hearings and Appeals.
She married Charles “Buddy” Edward Hunton Jr. She was a very loving mother and grandmother. She loved her flowers, geneaology and playing cards. She enjoyed shopping and traveling.
She is survived by her son, Douglas Hunton and his wife, Clara; her daughters, Brenda Edmunds and her husband, Brian, Sheila Whittemore and her husband, Ken and Sharon Paradis and her husband, Barry; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; a sister, Gwendolyn Hatt; and a brother, Arthur Robbins.
She was predeceased by her husband; her parents; her brother, Shirley Robbins; and her sisters, Claire Alexander, Thelma Beck and Melverda Churchill.
