FARMINGTON — The Franklin County Soil & Water Conservation District has some fruit trees, berry bushes, herbs and flowering bushes for purchase through May 4.

Any $100 or more order that comes into the office between April 26 and May 4 may take 5 percent off before adding the sales tax.

No orders will be accepted after May 4 until the day of the shrub pick up on Friday, May 11. Any item left at that time will be sold at a reduced price to help clean out inventory.

Pick-up of plants will be at the white barn next to the District Courthouse in on Friday, May 11, from 1-5 p.m. and Saturday, May 12, from 8 a.m. to noon.

The list of available plants changes daily so stop by for the most current list or call 778-4279 to have a list faxed or emailed. Currently available are apples, peaches, pears, plums and cherry trees as well as walnut trees, blueberries and raspberries, perennials and herbs, as well as lilac, Weigela, forsythia, spiraea, potentilla and mock orange bushes.
