Two local golfers registered holes-in-one during the final week of April.

Bob Brickel aced the 173-yard No. 4 at Martindale on Sunday. Brickel used a 6-iron to cover the 173 yards and achieve his second career ace.

At Hebron Pine RV & Golf, Polly Jones of Buckfield scored her hole-in-one Thursday on the 110-yard No. 3. Jones played a 5-wood and a ladies’ Noodle ball.

Club Notes: Martindale’s Saturday Junior Golf Program begins on May 19. This program will runs for  six weeks on Saturdays with two sessions available. Space is limited to the first 12 juniors to register for each session in order to deliver the best professional instruction. Times are 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. for ages 7-9 and 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for ages 10-13. The clinics will run through June 30 with one off week on June 9. This program is aimed at teaching juniors all of the key elements necessary to playing great golf and enjoying the game. The focus is on all aspects of the game with fun competitions, while using V1 Golf “video instruction” to show progress and development. The cost of the spring program is $125.
