FAYETTE — Gailene J. Buckley, 65, a former resident of Knapp Street, Livermore Falls, died peacefully Wednesday, May 2, surrounded by her loving family and friends in Fayette, where she was staying with her longtime friend Mary Anne Davis.
She was born Jan. 11, 1947, in Lewiston, the daughter of Russell and Rachel (Hammond) Buckley. Gailene was a graduate of Leavitt Institute in Turner and Ricker College in Houlton.
She worked as an administrator for Greene Acres Manor Nursing Home in Greene for many years. Gailene enjoyed cooking and her family and friends.
She is survived by her sister, Jolene Andre and her husband, Francis, of Leeds; her brother, Miles Buckley and his wife, Andrea, of Phoenix, Ariz.; nephews, Jake and Daniel Buckley; niece, Melissa Black and her husband, Keith, of Leeds; great-nieces and nephews, Emily, Shane, Ashley and Lillie; and her longtime friend, Mary Anne Davis of Fayette.
She was predeceased by her parents; and her sister, Doreen Maheux.
