LIVERMORE FALLS — On April 30 the Jay, Livermore and Livermore Falls seniors met at Murray Hall with 29 members present and one guest, Napoleon Frechette, welcome. Fern Doiron opened the meeting with prayer, the salute to the flag and a moment of silence for departed members and the men and women serving in the armed services.

The secretary’s report was amended and accepted.

Members on the sick list are Janet Wright and Joline Pratt. Two members who have been out on sick leave, Pauline Coombs and Dot Wilson, have returned.

The group received thank-you notes from Tri-Town Ministry for a food donation to the food bank and from the VFW for a $25 donation to the scholarship fund; both donations were in honor of Eugene Pomerleau.

Plans were discussed for the fall trip to the clambake in Wells. The bus will leave from Lewiston. Fern Doiron and Nancy Couture are offering rides to some who may want to go but do not drive long distances.

A list of what is needed for the picnic is being prepared so volunteers can sign up to bring something. Fern Doiron contacted Hannaford; they will make the needed patties and will give a discount. Doris Tripp will bring the hot dogs and rolls.
